May I have this dance?
This play featuring social dance with a Williamsburg background was created, choreographed, and performed by the Virginia Academy of Historic Dance as a part of Williamsburg's tricentennial celebration in May, 1999. Sponsored by grants from the city art council, this love story followed the fortunes and misfortunes of boy-meets-girl from 1699 and the founding of Williamsburg to the Roaring 20s.
